The Rural and Traditional Arts Fellowship is an initiative specifically designed for rural artists to collaborate with their communities, administered by Shake on the Lake in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts.

This $10,000 grant is awarded annually to 10 artists from across rural New York State. Innovative projects in a wide range of artistic genres are supported, including Ecological Art, Animation, Fiber Art, Sculpture, Painting, Creative Writing, Installation, Video, and more.
